Bring Music In For Kids Earlier?

Children very rarely get the chance to actually get involved with music at school, sometimes they get to learn the recorder or something like that but is this really enough, they do not seem to get the broad sense of instruments which is a great shame, a lot of children will not have heard of some instruments until they get older and this is wrong. What are the ways that schools can actually get children more interested in music and playing it.

Bring Someone In

I remember something that my middle school did was to actually bring someone in to play a load of different instruments to everyone in the school at the same time. For me this actually got me into music and I do not think I have forgotten it since which is really great in a way. Getting kids to understand music a lot sooner would be a really good idea to take on indeed and this comes from getting people in earlier. Bring people in to play them nursery rhymes or well known songs as this will really help.

Out Of School

It is appreciated that most schools out there cannot fit more music classes into the schedule as by law they have to do a set amount of lessons. Is there actually a reason why you cannot put together an after school music lesson, I do not think so. This idea is a really good one for kids that are interested in music because it get them to see someone playing the instruments that knows what they are doing.

If more schools spent a bit more time and effort on actually getting the kids interested in music I am sure you would find that a lot more people would be turning to music as a career and this would be a fantastic thing indeed.

Guitars along with banjos and acoustic guitars are something that a lot more people need to get into, help the schools in making children aware of these instruments.
