How To Face Paint Little Kids?
Face painting might sound easy but it is certainly not when it comes to kids. They are such enthusiastic young fellows that it is not an easy task to control them and face paint them at the same time. They already are so excited about the design being painted on them that controlling them requires a lot of patience on your part. Therefore, face painting children is a difficult and challenging task.
Firstly, you should expect a long wish list . Each one of them would want something different and the best way to avoid a chaotic situation would be to paint some samples on a poster board so that they could choose from any on of those designs. This might limit their selection but you would at least paint something that would be appreciated later.
Moreover, do not go for complicated designs. Choosing multi coloured designs would only complicate the process and it might end up in an abstract design. This would disappoint the child further. So it is better to see him smile with that simple design rather than making an effort that would be of no avail in the end.
Little children prefer simple designs and forms. They recognize very few cartoon characters or shapes or colours. If you want the kids to be involved in the art of face painting with you, ask them what they would like to be painted on their faces. In fact, you should give them some options so that it is easy for them to decide.
Acrylic paints are water based. These are easily applied and washed off. All you would need to do is wipe the face with a wet towel. This would be done safely and without any hassle.
Another point to note here is that not all paints are meant to be applied on the face. Paints like poster paints or water paints or simple water colours are not made to be applied on the face. They contain substances which may cause harm to the skin. As already stated, a kid’s skin is more sensitive so you need to be more careful about it.
There are special paints available in the market that are specifically made to be used on the human skin. Therefore, they are free from the harmful substances, so you should always use these specialised paints for painting faces of little ones. Similarly, glitters to be used with the paints must also be the ones that are made to be used on the face.
When you are painting the face of a kid, you must be careful that you do not paint too close to the eyes as it can be very harmful if it gets in the eyes. It is also a good idea to keep sample designs with you so that kids can choose from them. In this way it will be easy for you to meet the demands of the kids. You must always consider the liking of the kid so that he/she will be happy and content with the design you have made on his/her face.
