Parents Become Active On Facebook and Twitter

Suddenly during the course of the last year or two, it seems like just about everyone’s parents have a social media account.

There are many people in their 40s, 50s, and even older ones using sites like Facebook and Twitter these days. This was extremely uncommon just a year or two ago, but things have changed in a very short time period.

People from older generations are really enjoying this too. They absolutely love the fact that it gives them the ability to communicate with old friends who they haven’t seen in years or even decades. Social media sites make it extremely easy to casually stay in touch with such people, and this is a great thing.

Like me, you may find it entertaining to see parents suddenly becoming enamored with everything these sites have to offer. After all, these sites have been around for years still.

Still, parents should be applauded for the fact that they’re embracing this extremely useful technology. It looks as if the world has finally been sold on the benefits of social media, and this is a great thing.

Is this just a passing fad amongst baby boomers or are the Facebook accounts here to stay? While I’m not exactly sure, I can tell you that their use of these services is a true testament to the benefits of social media and I’m really glad to see this.

So, it’s official. What started out as a communications platform popular with college kids has officially come full circle. Not only are people five years younger and ten years older using it, but their parents have steadily begun to embrace it too. Will grandparents be next by any chance? It wouldn’t surprise me if they were.

Be on the lookout for active parents on these sites. In less than a year’s time, the landscape has massively changed for the better. Let’s see where things go from here.

In addition to technology, the writer also regularly writes regarding baby blankets in addition to designer blankets.
