The Dark Magician Girl Card

You are probably one of the millions that watched the anime series, so you probably know of Yugi’s Dark Magician Card. Some of you reading this are already owners of entire dueling decks based on the dark magician and black chaos cards. If you have happen to have either, you probably want to be sure you have another specific card in your deck: The Dark Magician Girl.

This card may very well be a perfect compliment to your magician based decks. The reason being that the Dark Magician Girl card doesn’t only start with 2000 attack power, it can also increase it’s attack power through a special ability. This special ability is to raise it’s attack power by 300 for all the magician cards in both your and your opponent’s graveyards.

Picture yourself with a magician deck in hand dueling another player, who is playing with a magician deck. If you were to play this card after either of you, or both of you, have lost a few magician cards to the graveyard, then playing your Dark Magician Girl can easily start her off with 3000 attack power or more and become very powerful on her own!

The Dark Magician Girl card might be a rare, but it can easily be worth paying more to get a hold of just to add to your duelist arsenal.

Clearly the actual Dark Magician card is still more powerful than Dark Magician Girl since it has the same special ability in addition to being able to increase attack power for all dragon cards. However playing both cards will often work in your benefit, because they work as a good combination since they can each make each other stronger. Owning one or the other should cause you to consider getting the other card since they compliment each other so well.

Even more powerful are the Chaos Magicians. Despite the fact that these magicians have higher attack power, if you lose them in play they can each add 300 attack power to your Magician Girl. So playing these magician cards first can often be a very strong way to open an attack against your opponent while using your magician girl to come in at the end and destroy whatever is left over since she will now have a comparable attack power. Finally, you can follow up with a Dark Magician and have an attack power of 3700!

Obviously there are many ways to play magician cards in combinations, and you should be more than willing to experiment and find a play style that works for you.
