The Dark Magician Knight Card

Sadly most serious duelists and players will not want to go with this card as an addition to their deck; but any serious collectors may want to get their hands on to complete their collection. First appearances would see this card as would be good because it requires a sacrifice, but that may not be true. In reality, you may end up sacrificing a much stronger card just to get the Dark Magician Knight into play.

The Dark Magician Knight starts off with an attack power of 2500 but requires that you sacrifice a card to summon the Knight. Remember that she will have to have a dark magician card in play just to be able to play this card in the first place, which can usually mean you will have to sacrifice your dark magician itself! What that means is you are basically just trading the cards and very little more.

Personally, I don’t see much logic to place this card in your dueling deck since it seems to not do much else beyond be a wasted card if you happen to draw it out. So why would a card like this exist? The best players actually question the use of a card with such little playable value.

Ultimately this card appears be just a collector’s item because it tends to be rather useless for real duel game play But if you want to create a full dark magician deck, then as a collector you probably have a need for this card. Real players on the other hand, should avoid this card if they have any plans on entering fun duels or tournaments. Still be on the lookout, however, if you are trying to get a complete magician set.

There are many cards that are usually more useful or stronger, and that potentially includes the dark magician himself, the dark magician girl, and the chaos magicians. So think very carefully when considering including this card into your duelist deck.
