Let me ask you a simple question. Although I am not in shape and haven’t played soccer for a long time what if I still want to participate in the tryouts soccer Don’t worry! If you go over these simple steps you will soon be ready to participate.

Being a soccer coach yourself, you must know that coaches eye the strongest players to make up the most promising team. sometimes only few players may be selected who fit to the current plan.

But in soccer tryouts there are lot many variables involved.

Once you know what a coach is actually looking for during the soccer tryouts, you can focus on showing off your kid’s skills and personality that will make them successful in the tryouts.

Soccer Training

A player has to exhibit the following things which the coaches and soccer association will be looking for

Skill: how well the player performs the skill that is necessary to play soccer this will be critically evaluated by the coach. the performance in the match will be poor if the player is not able to exhibit the same during soccer tryouts. for example skills like tapping, dribbling, passing and control the ball. Evaluate the player based on his intuitive behavior and his knowledge on soccer

Condition: Excellent conditioned player with average skills will manage to attract the attention of the coach. And so will the player who is out of breath just after 15 minutes into the soccer tryout. If your players lack the required stamina to perform in tryouts soccer, they not only let them down, but let the team down as well.

A coach will wonder why this player didn’t bother to get in shape or keep in shape. if you are not in shape it reflect that either you don’t care or too lazy, or you are unprofessional in thinking that being out of shape wouldn’t matter. 

Attitude: The mental approach of the player should be to learn things always and he should posses the ability to learn also. Do the player consistently exhibiting the potential to perform at his peak every time?

Does the player exhibit the attitude to pursue excellence all the time. are they willing to go that extra yard Are they willing to learn new skills, techniques and strategies? Are they open to change and learn from their new positions without any complaints?

Observe what happens next once the soccer tryouts are over Most of the time the soccer tryouts are running to many days the coach might inform you immediately if your player has made to the team. Few times their decision might be informed through a call or letter indicating their decision. don’t confront the coach with the question on your player status

finally make sure you have collected everything that belongs to you. Salutation your coach properly and thank him for providing valuable lesson and making you a better player for the soccer tournament
