There Are Cartoons Out There That Have To Wear Glasses (Part 1)

Here is a small list on some of the cartoons you may have spotted that wear glasses as well a bit about them and a reason why they perhaps wear them.

The organge lover- Velma Dace Dinkley

Velma is easily the star of wearing the glasses, she seems to be the toon that has not yet discovered contacts in all of her years. Although you will never see her wearing cheap glasses she is certainly one for the geeky looking ones. Velma seems to always be ahead of everyone else and is the cleverest of all of the gang. If you see Velma walking around without her glasses on then the chances are she is looking for them.

Wheres Wally/Waldo

It is rather strange but the USA and Canada call him Waldo whereas the UK call him Wally, it is wondered why this move was taken. His name is not Waldo but Wally as he was invented in Britain, the name Waldo comes a lot later. The first book was actually published way back in 1987. Believe it or not this massive franchise is still going very strong indeed with a major movie rumoured to be in the works. I for one also collected the entire magazine collection when I was a little bit younger.

SpongeBob Squarepants

Spongebob only needs his glasses when he is concentrating on jellyfishing which just so happens to be his favourite hobby. This is done in almost the same way many people wear their glasses for reading. Spongebob has been going strong for ten years now and it would seem there are no signs of him stopping. He was apparently born in 1986 which would make him 13 in 1999 however it has now been said that he has no specific age and just is whatever age people see him as.

So there is just a few people who where glasses, however where are the cool cartoons that would wear something like police glasses.
