There are actually many different types of remote control helicopter and each of the have their own perks and drawbacks. The first thing you need to think about if you are a first time buyer is, which type should I go after? If you think about it you are going to be putting a lot of time into the building of the thing then you have to learn how to fly it. Something to note is that the expensive ones are the best ones. Gas

Many people are not into these types anymore so they are thought of as dying outq. There do seem to be two reasons for this. The first is price and these are by far the most expensive RC copters out there which is why you really need to think hard before buying one. The other reason is that they hare very hard to fly. One of the other things to think about is that without being shown how to fly it can be very difficult.

Nitro

Nitro is next on the list and it is another one that is very difficult to choose. The reason this time isn’t because of the price, although they are still expensive it comes from which to choose? For anyone who has just started the hobby the thing that can be tricky is all of the sizes that are available. Although the average flight time is 7-14 minutes I wouldnt go and buy one of these and I will explain why.

Electric

This is now the most commonly used RC aircraft and this is down to the fact is it is the cheapest and easiest to pick up for novices. The average tiem you get flying isnt going to be as high so you have to take everything into consideration.
